This person filling this position will be responsible for the analysis, design, programming, testing, and documentation of web applications within the DOT. He/she will interface with our customers to collect requirements, create designs, and provide periodic status reports along with acting as technical project leader and creating work duration estimates and schedules.
Responsibilities:
- This job will require participation in all development life-cycle stages providing support and enhancements to our web applications developed with Microsoft .NET 3.5, ASP.NET, C#, SilverLight, and SQL Server 2008.
- There is also a GIS component, so it will be a plus if the Programmer has experience or is a self-learner and can learn ArcGIS Server Web.ADF for .NET and its JavaScript API.
- The Programmer will participate or conduct periodic status meetings or reports with the Project Manager or the end customer.
- The Programmer must have excellent oral and written communication skills as he/she will be interacting directly with our customers and must be able to clearly present/defend ideas and designs.
Qualifications:
- Excellent domain of Microsoft .NET technology and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic development environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Data analysis experience via T-SQL and Microsoft Analysis Services projects.
Experience with the following products:
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
- C# programming with ASP.NET
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- Microsoft Analysis Services 2008
- Microsoft Silverlight 3.0
- Microsoft Expression Blend 3.0
It is a plus if the candidate has experience with:
- Oracle PL/SQL
- Microsoft Project 2003
